The High Lonesome Ranch
The High Lonesome Ranch is located in a fertile valley on Colorado’s western Slope, 30 minutes from Grand Junction. The ranch offers big game hunting for 200+ B&C class mule deer, 350+ B&C class elk, in addition to mountain lions, and black bear. Other activities include fly-fishing, wingshooting for pheasant, chukar, huns, and scaled and Gambel’s quail, along with hunting for Merriam’s turkey. The ranch has a 46-dog kennel, over 30 spring-fed ponds, 3.1 miles on the White River, and 3 spring creeks. Guest suites were recently remodeled, and there is a conference room for corporate groups. Horseback riding and golf are also available. For the first time in the ranch’s history, three hunting leases are available. All include a combination of private and BLM land as well as lodging.
